Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has entered into a strategic partnership with INJAZ UAE, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to youth empowerment and a member of the global Junior Achievement network. The collaboration aims to instill a culture of entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and work readiness among students across Dubai, directly supporting the objectives of the Dubai Education Strategy 2033.
The agreement was formalized during an event focused on entrepreneurship and future skills, attended by Aisha Abdulla Miran, Director General of KHDA, and Faysal Juma Khalfan Belhoul, the new Chairman of the Board of INJAZ UAE. The event brought together representatives from nearly 30 private schools in Dubai, alongside student entrepreneurs.
A Strategic Alliance For Future Skills
The partnership will focus on designing and implementing experiential learning programs for students in key areas including entrepreneurship, career readiness, and financial literacy. A central component of the agreement involves fostering knowledge exchange, sharing best practices for skill development, and actively engaging the private sector to create meaningful, real-world learning experiences for the next generation.
During the event, a panel discussion moderated by Nayla Al-Mousawi of Accenture highlighted the critical need to empower young people with entrepreneurial skills. Panelists included Dr. Fatma Belhoul of KHDA, Dr. Ghadeer Abu-Shamat of GEMS Education, Mohammed Bahaa of APCO, David Carroll of Citibank, and Zainab Abdul Hameed, a student winner of the INJAZ UAE “Company of the Year” award.
Aligning With Dubai’s 2033 Vision
This initiative is a core component of Dubai’s long-term strategic goals, which aim to equip students with future-proof skills. “The Dubai Education Strategy 2033 focuses on empowering all learners with future skills in line with the goals of the Dubai 2033 plan and its economic and social agendas,” said Dr. Amna Al Mazmi, Executive Director of the Human Development and Development Sector at KHDA. “We believe that every learner should graduate not only with academic knowledge but also with the skills, confidence, and mindset to succeed in life and work.”
Empowering The Next Generation of Innovators
INJAZ UAE’s mission is to provide young people with the necessary tools and mindset to transform their ideas into tangible impact. The organization’s programs are designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world opportunities.
“We are proud to partner with KHDA to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship among Dubai students,” stated Razan Bashiti, CEO of INJAZ UAE. “By bringing concepts of entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and professional readiness into the classroom, we are helping students connect what they learn today with the opportunities of tomorrow. Through this partnership, we look forward to inspiring more students to innovate, create, and lead.”
Student Ventures Take Center Stage
The event also served as a platform for students to showcase their entrepreneurial projects. Students from Dubai National School – Al Twar branch, winners of this year’s national “Company Program,” presented their venture, “Raicom.” The project will now represent the UAE in the regional finals of the Young Entrepreneurs Celebration organized by INJAZ Al-Arab later this month.
