Egypt’s PayTabs Egypt Partners With Food Giant Edita to Modernize Cash Collection

4 Min Read

PayTabs Egypt, a leading digital payment solutions provider in the region, has announced a strategic partnership with Edita Trade, a subsidiary of the major packaged snack food company, Edita Food Industries. The collaboration aims to digitize and streamline cash collection processes across Edita’s extensive distribution network.

This partnership will see the integration of PayTabs Egypt’s cash collection solution directly into Edita’s operations, transforming how payments are handled between its representatives and endpoint distributors throughout the country.

Streamlining a Nationwide Network

Through the collaboration, Edita will gain access to a vast network of over 550,000 points-of-sale (POS) machines across Egypt. This access is facilitated by more than four leading cash aggregators, all accessible through PayTabs Egypt’s single, unified platform.

This integration removes the complexities for Edita of having to manage relationships and systems with multiple aggregators individually. The solution provides a centralized dashboard to efficiently collect payments from its wide-reaching network of distributors, enhancing operational control and simplicity.

A Push Towards Digital Efficiency

The move is designed to address the challenges of traditional cash collection methods. By leveraging the PayTabs platform, Edita can optimize its processes, gain real-time visibility into transactions and reporting, and significantly improve its cash flow management. This shift is expected to reduce costs and enhance transparency throughout the payment cycle.

Diana Wadid, Group Treasury Senior Director at Edita, commented on the strategic advantage, “We are excited to partner with PayTabs Egypt, as Edita will be the first company in the Egyptian market to benefit from seamless access to such a wide network of POS machines through a single, integrated solution. This collaboration will not only improve efficiency and transparency but also enhance the overall experience for our distributors.”

Fostering a Digital Economy

For PayTabs Egypt, this partnership is the latest in a series of collaborations with prominent local and regional brands, including Global Corp, Ship Blu, and Banque Misr. The initiative underscores the company’s commitment to advancing Egypt’s digital payment ecosystem.

“This partnership exemplifies PayTabs Egypt’s commitment to providing innovative solutions that empower businesses to thrive in the growing digital economy,” said Haytham Morsy, VP of Commercial & Business Development at PayTabs Egypt. “It is a testament to our shared vision of fostering innovation and progress in the digital payment ecosystem.”
