Vivo Energy Maroc, the company responsible for marketing Shell-branded fuels and lubricants and distributing Butagaz LPG, has renewed its long-standing partnership with the non-profit organization Injaz Al-Maghrib. The move reaffirms their joint commitment to fostering innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit among the nation’s youth.
A Partnership Spanning Over A Decade
The new cooperation agreement was signed to extend the collaboration until 2027, continuing a successful alliance that began in 2009. Over the past sixteen years, the partnership has made a significant impact on Morocco’s budding entrepreneurial landscape. To date, the joint programs have benefited over 250,000 young people, leading to the creation of more than 300 youth-led startups. This effort has been supported by the dedication of over 170 employee volunteers from Vivo Energy Maroc, who serve as mentors.
Matthias de Larminat, General Manager of Vivo Energy Maroc, stated, “This historic partnership reflects our sustainable commitment to Moroccan youth, believing that education and entrepreneurship are fundamental levers for social inclusion and sustainable development.”
Empowering The Next Generation Of Founders
The core of the agreement focuses on developing educational and entrepreneurial programs for students across various regions of Morocco. A key initiative is the “Company Program,” one of Injaz Al-Maghrib’s flagship offerings, which provides participants with hands-on experience in the creation and management of a business venture. The collaboration is distinguished by its focus on “skills-based support,” a model where Vivo Energy Maroc employees transfer their practical expertise and industry knowledge directly to the new generation of entrepreneurs.
Wafaa Joudi, President of Injaz Al-Maghrib, emphasized the significance of the renewal, noting that it “reflects the depth of the relationship between the two institutions and their shared ambition to provide young people with the means to develop their skills and build their self-confidence, enabling them to integrate successfully into the professional world.”
From Idea To Impact A Founder’s Journey
The tangible impact of the program is best illustrated through the success of its alumni. Abir Aman, a graduate of the 2025 Company Program at Mohammed V University in Rabat, shared her experience. “My participation in the program enabled me to turn my idea into a tangible project,” she said. “Through the Saferide initiative, we developed a technological solution to enhance the safety of road users. Thanks to the support of Injaz Al-Maghrib and my mentors from Vivo Energy Maroc, I learned to trust my potential and believe that entrepreneurship can bring about change.”
