The collaboration is set to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s venture capital ecosystem by introducing international expertise and providing alternative financing solutions to local startups.
This move marks a significant expansion for SAB Invest into startup-focused investments and private credit for SMEs, leveraging its substantial institutional backing to fuel innovation within the Kingdom.
A Strategic Push Into Private Credit
The partnership aims to leverage SAB Invest’s established investment platforms to enhance access to capital for high-growth startups and SMEs across Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC. A key focus will be on providing non-dilutive, Shariah-compliant growth financing instruments, allowing founders to scale their operations without diluting their equity.
This alliance will target high-potential businesses in key sectors such as fintech, B2B SaaS, health tech, logistics, and consumer brands, addressing a critical funding gap in the market. Stride Ventures plans to deploy approximately US$500 million over the next three to five years through these bespoke credit solutions.
