A landmark forum held in Al Ain has resulted in major agreements to create over 3,000 job opportunities for Emirati talent across key economic sectors. The Empowering National Talents in Al Ain forum, organised by the Department of Government Enablement through its Mawaheb Talent Hub, saw the signing of 17 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between the government and leading public and private entities, reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to Emiratisation and developing its national workforce.
Strategic Partnerships Forged
The forum facilitated the signing of 17 MoUs aimed at creating a substantial employment pipeline for UAE Nationals in the Al Ain Region. These agreements bring together a formidable lineup of major employers, including the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, ADNOC, Mubadala, e&, G42, and Abu Dhabi Aviation Group. The resulting opportunities will span vital sectors such as finance, education, emerging technologies, and customer service, all of which are critical to the region’s long-term development and economic diversification.
Bolstering National Economic Development
His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, attended the launch and affirmed that Emiratisation remains a top priority for UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He underscored the strategic role of national talent in building a knowledge-based economy and driving sustainable development. His Excellency Ibrahim Nassir, Undersecretary of the Department of Government Enablement, added, “Creating more than 3,000 job opportunities represents our leadership’s commitment to empowering UAE citizens across critical sectors. We are building a comprehensive system for managing the job-seeker journey, supporting local talent through education, hiring and upskilling that directly benefits the Al Ain community.”
Aligning Talent With Future Market Needs
Beyond job creation, the forum served as a strategic platform to analyze current and future labour market trends. A key objective was to align educational outcomes and upskilling programs with the specific needs of high-growth industries that are shaping Al Ain’s economic landscape, including finance, 3D printing, and aviation. The initiative is a collaborative effort involving key bodies such as the Education and Human Resources Council (EHRC), the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation, and the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (ETCC) through its Nafis programme.
