This pioneering step utilizes advanced agentic AI technology to redefine the future of higher education, aligning with the UAE’s National AI Strategy 2031 and Education Strategy 2033.
Transforming Academic Workflows
The initiative aims to enhance the academic role of faculty members by automating key tasks, allowing them to dedicate more time to mentorship, research, and development. The AI agent performs several critical functions, including developing course outlines, generating exams and assessments, and analyzing student performance to propose tailored support strategies. This creates a paradigm shift in academic institutions, turning routine tasks into smart, efficient processes.

Through this new educational system, HBMSU has already achieved significant results. The university reports an 85% reduction in the time required for content development and a 95% reduction in the administrative burden on faculty. Most importantly, the AI-driven personalization and support have led to a 40% enhancement in student learning and mastery of subjects. These efficiencies also reduce the overall costs associated with designing and producing academic programs.
A Homegrown Innovation
The entire platform was developed in-house in Dubai by a dedicated HBMSU team, led by Maitha Al-Tunaiji, the university’s Vice Chancellor for Artificial Intelligence and Technology. The system has been built with international standards and incorporates a strong ethical framework for the use of AI, ensuring the protection of privacy, reduction of bias, transparency, and compliance with accessibility standards.
