More than 600 residents gathered at Yas Mall on Saturday to mark the launch of Citymoov, a pioneering new mobile app from the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC). The app is designed to make healthy living fun and accessible by transforming everyday movement into an adventure through interactive digital scavenger hunts, known as quests.
By the Numbers
The launch kicked off with significant community engagement and ongoing competitions:
- 600+ Residents: The number of people who participated in the launch event at Yas Mall.
- AED 50,000: The value of the prize pool for the Creator Mode Competition.
- 5 Master Quests: The number of quests set in iconic Abu Dhabi locations for the Master Quest Competition.
A New Movement for Healthy Living
Citymoov aims to inspire active lifestyles by reimagining Abu Dhabi’s public spaces as opportunities for exploration, play, and connection. “Citymoov is more than an app, it’s a movement,” said H.E. Dr. Rashed Al Suwaidi, Director General of ADPHC. “By reimagining Abu Dhabi’s public spaces as opportunities for exploration, play and connection, we are making healthy choices more enjoyable and within reach for everyone. With Citymoov, staying active becomes an adventurous journey, not a chore”.
Competitions to Keep Residents Engaged
The launch also kicked off two exciting competitions:
- Creator Mode Competition: Residents are invited to design their own quests using the app’s Creator Mode. The three quests with the most plays by Friday, December 5, will win prizes from a pool worth AED 50,000.
- Master Quest Competition: Players can test their skills across five quests set in iconic destinations, including the Louvre Abu Dhabi and Yas Marina Circuit. Each month, the five fastest participants to complete all five Master Quests will win a top-of-the-range fitness watch.
A Commitment to a Healthier Community
Citymoov reflects Abu Dhabi’s commitment to building a healthier, more connected community by blending technology, play, and physical activity. In the coming months, the initiative will expand its reach with a series of interactive mall activations, offering even more opportunities for residents to get moving and be part of this growing wellness movement.
