In a significant move to consolidate its market presence, Careem has officially launched its comprehensive suite of services in Sharjah, expanding its UAE footprint beyond its established hubs in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Al Ain. This expansion marks a key milestone in the company’s ambition to become the region’s go-to “Everything App,” bringing a wide range of everyday services to residents across the Emirate.
Expanding Beyond Ride-Hailing
While Sharjah residents have long had access to Careem Rides and Careem Pay, this launch introduces the platform’s popular delivery and on-demand services. The city-wide rollout of Careem Food now allows customers to order from local favorites such as Zaatar w Zeit and Feras Sweets, alongside international chains like Wingstop and Nando’s. To support the launch, Careem is offering a 50% discount on the first three food orders using the code HELLOSHJ3.
Alongside food delivery, the expansion includes Careem Box for item pickup and delivery across the city, and Home Services, which provides on-demand cleaning, laundry, and at-home spa treatments.
Phased Rollout for Full Service Integration
Careem is adopting a strategic, phased approach to integrate its complete portfolio into the Sharjah market. The company’s subscription program, Careem Plus, is set to launch on October 15, offering members average monthly savings of AED 300. Later this year, Sharjah will also welcome Careem Quik for 15-minute grocery and electronics delivery, along with Careem Shops and Careem Car Rental, effectively bringing the full power of the super app to the Emirate.

This expansion into Sharjah is a calculated step in Careem’s broader vision for regional leadership. Bassel Al Nahlaoui, Chief Business Officer at Careem, highlighted the customer-driven nature of the move. “Sharjah has long been central to our vision at Careem,” he commented. “While we’ve been helping customers in Sharjah get around with Careem Rides and manage their payments with Careem Pay, many have been eagerly waiting for our other services, especially Careem Food and Box. We’re excited to finally deliver what our customers have been asking for.”
