Egypt’s Entreprenelle Champions Women in F&B With Inaugural SheCan Event

3 Min Read

Entreprenelle, a leading network for women’s entrepreneurship in the MENA region, has launched the first edition of “She Can – Food & Beverage (F&B)” in Cairo. Held on October 4th under the patronage of the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the National Council for Women, the event successfully gathered over 1,000 visitors and 47 industry speakers to support and empower women in one of Egypt’s most dynamic sectors.

From Stage Success to Standalone Event

The decision to create a dedicated F&B event stemmed from the overwhelming success of the sector’s showcase at the 10th edition of the main “She Can” conference in April 2025. The Food & Beverage Stage alone attracted more than 2,000 visitors, while its food market, held in partnership with Food Platform Market founder Mai El-Sahhar, generated over EGP 1.5 million in sales in a single day. This remarkable engagement highlighted the industry’s significant growth and potential, prompting Entreprenelle to establish a standalone platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and innovation for female founders in the space.

Empowering a Thriving Sector

Rania Ayman, Founder and CEO of Entreprenelle, emphasized the immense promise the F&B sector holds for women entrepreneurs. She noted that Entreprenelle has already supported over 500 entrepreneurs through 28 rounds of its “The Food Project” program, helping them transform their passions into sustainable businesses. Ayman stated that women’s economic empowerment extends beyond individual projects, ultimately transforming families, strengthening communities, and driving national economic growth. This event provides a practical platform for women to gain the knowledge and opportunities needed to build influential ventures.

A Platform for Knowledge and Collaboration

The inaugural event featured a comprehensive agenda designed to foster growth and address industry challenges. Attendees participated in 11 panel discussions with experts and specialists, three workshops focused on SME development, and heard inspiring success stories from women who have built prominent food brands. The event also brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including government representatives, entrepreneurs, physicians, food content creators, renowned chefs, and nutrition experts, creating a fertile ground for direct engagement and networking. The gathering was also timed to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, integrating discussions on women’s health and wellness into the program.
