Keeta, the international subsidiary of Chinese on-demand delivery titan Meituan, has announced its pre-launch entry into the Bahraini market with a new Founding Vendor Program. The initiative is a strategic move to onboard local merchants and delivery service providers with a suite of exclusive benefits ahead of the platform’s official public debut.
This launch brings the formidable operational scale and technology of Meituan, one of the world’s largest delivery ecosystems supporting over 150 million daily orders and serving more than 770 million global users, directly into the heart of Bahrain’s burgeoning digital economy.
An Aggressive Play for Local Merchants
Keeta is incentivizing early adoption by offering a compelling package for merchants who join the Founding Vendor Program. The benefits are designed to lower entry barriers and accelerate growth from day one, including reduced commission rates for the first three months, waived monthly service fees for an initial period, and prominent placement in nationwide marketing campaigns.
Notably, Keeta is also offering zero in-app advertising spend, allowing all merchants to benefit from the platform’s organic traffic distribution engine without needing to purchase ads.
Empowering Last-Mile Delivery Partners
The program extends to delivery service providers, aiming to build a robust and reliable last-mile network across the country. Keeta is offering a minimum income guarantee for partnered delivery companies whose riders meet key performance standards during the launch phase, ensuring stability as the market scales.
Additionally, riders will have access to performance-based incentives for order completion and customer satisfaction, while partner companies will receive onboarding assistance, access to Keeta’s dispatch technology, and dedicated operational support.
Early Partnership Signals Strong Growth Potential
One of the program’s early regional partners, Al Tazaj, has already reported significant results.
“Partnering with Keeta has been a game-changer for our business. Since onboarding, we’ve seen a 155% increase in order volume and expanded our customer base by over 70%,” said Waled Alsharef, Head of Marketing at Al Tazaj. “What stood out most was their deep understanding of our needs and their ability to deliver tailored solutions that truly drive growth.”
Aiden Qiao, General Manager of Keeta Bahrain, emphasized the company’s collaborative approach. “Our Bahrain launch is about partnership, with local businesses, delivery service providers, and the wider community. Together, we’re shaping a reliable and collaborative delivery ecosystem that creates value for every side.”
“Those who join us early are not just partners, they’re pioneers,” Qiao added. “We’re building the foundation for a smarter, more connected delivery experience in Bahrain.”
