Helwan University has launched a new campus-wide program, “From Idea to Reality in Entrepreneurship,” aimed at embedding an entrepreneurial culture among its student body. The initiative seeks to equip students with the skills needed to transform innovative ideas into viable projects that can contribute to the community and prepare them for the modern job market.
Cultivating a Founder Mindset
The core objective of the initiative is to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application in business. Through a series of workshops and lectures, the program focuses on the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, from idea generation and market needs analysis to crafting comprehensive business plans. By encouraging creative thinking and providing a structured framework, the university aims to empower students to build an innovative and self-sufficient professional future.
A Campus-Wide Engagement
Running from November 23rd to December 4th, the initiative has seen widespread engagement across numerous faculties, including Nursing, Pharmacy, Arts, Medicine, Commerce, Computer Science, and Law. The program features interactive sessions where students can present their project concepts, gain feedback, and exchange ideas with peers.
These activities are being implemented in collaboration with the university’s Social Solidarity Unit, student union councils, and the “For Egypt” student association, ensuring a broad and inclusive reach across the entire university campus and its residential cities.
University Leadership Backs Innovation
The initiative is operating under the patronage of key university leaders, including Dr. El-Sayed Kandil, President of the University, and Dr. Hossam Refai, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs. This high-level support underscores the university’s commitment to creating a stimulating environment that nurtures student talent and provides them with the tools and resources needed to succeed as future entrepreneurs and innovators.
