Arabic Language Usage Fuels Yango Yasmina’s 6x User Growth In The UAE

Global technology firm Yango Group has released compelling new data on its bilingual AI assistant, Yango Yasmina, revealing a significant surge in adoption and engagement within the UAE. The insights highlight the platform’s successful localization, with Arabic emerging as the primary language of interaction for its rapidly growing user base.

A Surge in Daily Engagement

According to the report, Yasmina’s average daily active users experienced a sixfold increase in the fourth quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. This growth was accompanied by a more than fivefold rise in overall interactions, signaling a deep integration of the AI assistant into the daily routines of its users.

The data further shows consistently high day-to-day engagement, with users averaging approximately 22 interactions per day in Q4 2025. This pattern suggests that Yasmina is being used as an ongoing digital companion rather than for single, isolated commands.

Arabic Dominates User Interaction

A key finding from the data is the strong preference for Arabic. In the final quarter of 2025, 60% of daily users engaged with Yasmina primarily in Arabic. In contrast, 28% used the English-only mode, and 12% opted for the bilingual setting.

This preference aligns with Yasmina’s region-specific design, which includes culturally relevant features such as prayer time alerts, Hijri calendar dates, and Quran recitations, demonstrating the importance of hyper-localization in driving AI adoption.

Divergent Use Cases Between Arabic and English Speakers

The report also sheds light on distinct user behaviors based on language choice. For Arabic-language interactions, general conversation and free-form chat were the most common scenarios, accounting for 45% of usage. This was followed by content playback (22%) and religious features (7%).

English interactions showed a different pattern, with general conversation making up 34% of usage, followed closely by content playback at 32%. The third most common use case was time management, such as setting alarms and reminders, which accounted for 8% of interactions. This data indicates that Arabic interactions often include faith-based routines, while English interactions are more oriented toward daily productivity tasks.

“With 97% of UAE residents now using AI, we’re proud to see Yasmina become a trusted companion in everyday life for users across the country,” said Rami Abu Arja, Senior Innovation Marketing Manager at Yasmina, Yango Group. “Our goal is to make advanced AI technologies feel natural, useful, and locally relevant, and these results show we’re on the right path.”

Yasmina is available across Yango Group’s smart speakers, which are sold on major retail platforms including Amazon.ae, noon, Virgin Megastore, and Carrefour.
