The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) Group has inaugurated a new “Market Intelligence Lab” at Liwa University, a strategic move to enhance financial education and cultivate the next generation of finance professionals in the UAE. The initiative aims to equip students with practical, real-world skills, directly supporting Abu Dhabi’s long-term vision for a diversified and knowledge-driven economy.
A Bridge Between Theory and Practice
Designed as an immersive learning hub, the ADX Market Intelligence Lab provides students with access to real-time trading environments and financial data from the exchange. More than 800 students are set to benefit from the facility, where they can engage in hands-on training in trading, market analysis, portfolio management, and risk management. This direct exposure to ADX Group’s market infrastructure and trading technology bridges the critical gap between academic theory and practical application, ensuring graduates are industry-ready.
Fostering a Knowledge-Based Economy
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to building a skilled local talent pool capable of leading the nation’s financial sector. Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi, Group Chief Executive Officer of ADX, emphasized the importance of financial literacy, stating, “At ADX, we believe that a society informed about finance is the foundation of a resilient and inclusive economy. By offering a deep understanding of how the stock exchange works, we are supporting Abu Dhabi and the UAE’s long-term vision of a diversified and resilient economy.”
Echoing this sentiment, Professor Mohamed Mahjoub Dhiaf, President of Liwa University, commented, “The new laboratory serves as an innovative educational platform that enables our students to experience a real trading environment and develop advanced skills in market analysis and investment management. We are confident that this initiative will further strengthen the university’s position as a leading center of excellence in financial and economic education.”
ADX’s Broader Commitment to Financial Education
The Market Intelligence Lab is the latest addition to ADX’s extensive financial literacy program. These efforts include workshops held in collaboration with brokerage firms, industry campaigns, and the popular ADX 2.0 Virtual Trading Platform, which offers a safe environment for thousands to learn trading and investment through real-time simulations. These initiatives collectively underscore ADX’s commitment to creating a more inclusive investment environment and empowering the community with knowledge that drives long-term prosperity.
