Ain Shams University‘s Faculty of Commerce has announced the launch of its inaugural “Entrepreneurship and Innovation: From Idea to Execution” competition. Scheduled for November 22, 2025, the event aims to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset among students and support the development of innovative business ideas.
The initiative is part of the faculty’s broader strategy to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical application, empowering students to contribute meaningfully to Egypt’s national economy.
Fostering a New Generation of Founders
Dr. Farid Muharram Al-Jarhi, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, emphasized that the competition is designed to transform creative student concepts into viable projects. He stated that the event serves as a platform to highlight the capabilities of the faculty’s students and their readiness to compete in the modern job market.
The competition is backed by the university’s senior leadership, including Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zein El Abidine, President of the University, reflecting a strong institutional commitment to fostering innovation from the ground up.
Expert Panel to Guide Participants
To provide participants with valuable industry insights and mentorship, the event will feature a distinguished panel of experts from various fields. The panel includes Dr. Yahya Othman, a marketing and business administration expert; Dr. Amr Hassanein, a financial investment expert; and Dr. Mohamed Al-Farraj, an assistant professor of aerospace engineering.
The lineup is further strengthened by the inclusion of Dr. Nader Ibrahim, Managing Partner at Exanshal Capital, and Abdullah Al-Atrash, co-founder of Natrify, ensuring students receive guidance from both academic and venture capital perspectives.
From Idea to Reality with Startup Sync
The top three winning teams will receive comprehensive support from the “Startup Sync” platform to help them launch their ventures. The platform provides a supportive environment by connecting emerging startups with a network of investors and industry experts, facilitating the critical early stages of business development.
This prize underscores the competition’s focus on tangible outcomes, offering a direct pathway for promising ideas to evolve into market-ready companies.
