The Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation in Ajman, in collaboration with the New Economy Academy, has launched the “Real Estate Business Incubator Program.” This initiative, part of the nationwide “UAE, the World’s Entrepreneurial Capital” campaign, is set to significantly advance the real estate entrepreneurship sector within the emirate.
A Strategic Push For Real Estate Innovation
The new incubator aims to qualify and license 200 real estate brokers over the next five years, with the inaugural cohort consisting of 40 participants embarking on an intensive six-month program. The program is designed to attract and cultivate a new generation of entrepreneurs capable of leading and managing projects in the sector through specialized training, workshops, and practical opportunities.
His Excellency Eng. Omar bin Omair Al Muhairi, Director General of the Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation, described the incubator as a strategic initiative focused on three core elements: qualifying national talent, enhancing the regulatory framework, and fostering an environment for innovation and growth. “We are committed to supporting entrepreneurs and empowering them to lead the real estate sector through specialized training programs,” he stated. “We look forward to Ajman becoming an advanced model for real estate entrepreneurship at the state and regional levels.”
Comprehensive Training and Mentorship
The six-month program is structured in four distinct stages. It begins with the selection and evaluation of 40 candidates for each annual cohort. This is followed by a four-month intensive training phase covering real estate fundamentals, financial management, market analysis, and the integration of technology and artificial intelligence in real estate. Participants will also learn about company structuring, sales, and marketing.
The third stage is a two-month mentorship period where participants apply their learnings in a practical setting, supplemented by networking events with industry leaders. The program concludes with a final evaluation based on progress and outcomes, along with support for developing future post-graduation plans. Dr. Laila Faridoon, CEO of the New Economy Academy, noted that the program focuses on applying technical and administrative skills through “practical mentorship sessions and training in digital leadership and real estate marketing.”
Aligning With National Entrepreneurial Vision
The incubator program is directly aligned with the objectives of the “UAE, the World’s Entrepreneurial Capital” campaign. Its training modules and support initiatives are designed to bolster the UAE’s broader strategy of supporting SMEs and cultivating a legislative environment that encourages entrepreneurship and innovation within the real estate sector. The program focuses on providing creative solutions and raising awareness of investment opportunities in Ajman’s property market.
