Al Jazeera Media Institute Nurtures Next Generation Of Entrepreneurs

3 Min Read

The Al Jazeera Media Institute has concluded a new training program, “Entrepreneurship for Youth,” designed to cultivate an innovative mindset in the next generation. The course saw 14 children embark on a practical journey to build their own ventures, from initial idea to final launch, aiming to embed the principles of initiative and innovation from an early age.

From Concept to Company

The program introduced participants to the world of entrepreneurship through storytelling, games, and interactive discussions. The curriculum covered fundamental concepts such as entrepreneur, product, client, and service. Following this, the young attendees selected project ideas that aligned with their personal interests and addressed specific customer needs.

Participants learned the essential steps of establishing a small company, including assigning management roles like CEO, Marketing Manager, and Brand Manager within their teams. They worked on building a complete commercial identity for their projects, which involved choosing names and logos, developing pricing strategies, identifying target audiences, and creating a viable sales plan.

A Practical Approach To Innovation

Course trainer Rania Al-Gammal emphasized that the experience went beyond theoretical knowledge to provide a real-world simulation of the entrepreneurial journey.

“The most important aspect of this course is that the children practice entrepreneurial thinking, make decisions, and learn to work as a team,” Al-Gammal stated. “The ideas and passion we have witnessed are promising signs of a generation capable of creating its own opportunities and providing innovative solutions.”

Inspiring Words From A Local Leader

The program’s concluding exhibition featured a visit from Hamad Al-Hajri, CEO of Qatari tech unicorn Snoonu. Al-Hajri toured the projects, reviewed the participants’ business models, and expressed his admiration for the quality of their work.

“You have excelled in the execution of your projects,” Al-Hajri told the young founders. “What distinguishes this course is that it is practical, not theoretical, giving children a real experience in the world of entrepreneurship. Dream and work hard to achieve your dreams.”
