Algeria is set to host the fourth edition of the E-commerce and Digital Services Exhibition, ECSEL EXPO, from October 15-18, 2025, at the Palais des Expositions (SAFEX) in Algiers. Organized by ALGERIA EXHIBITIONS GLOBAL EXHIBITION COMPANY, the event is positioned as the largest of its kind in Africa and will be held under the theme of “Innovation,” with the patronage of the country’s Ministries of Commerce, Knowledge Economy, Post, and Youth.
A Platform for Innovation and Growth
The upcoming edition of ECSEL EXPO aims to bring together over 250 exhibitors across a sprawling 10,000-square-meter space. The event is designed to convene professionals, startups, and investors to highlight the critical role of e-commerce in driving economic growth. It will focus on encouraging digitization and the adoption of innovative solutions in key sectors such as logistics and electronic payments, reinforcing Algeria’s commitment to building a competitive and sustainable digital economy.
Fostering the Next Generation of Tech Talent
A key feature of the fourth edition is a robust program designed to engage and empower young talent. Chamseddine Habhoub, Director of the exhibition, highlighted the inclusion of dedicated zones for startups and artificial intelligence. A central element will be the event’s hackathon, which has already attracted over 1,500 contestants from various universities, with 24 selected for the final stages. This significant participation underscores the growing interest among Algerian youth in the digital field.
Spotlight on Startups and Sectoral Dialogues
The expo will also serve as a major launchpad for emerging companies, with more than 60 startups scheduled to present their latest digital solutions in e-commerce and financial services. In addition to the exhibitions, the event will feature a series of sectoral dialogues. These sessions will bring together experts and industry professionals to discuss the future of digitization in Algeria, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing to accelerate the nation’s digital transformation.
