Algeria’s Ooredoo Launches Intensive Bootcamp for Young Entrepreneurs

3 Min Read

Ooredoo Algeria has officially launched its “Bootcamp by Ooredoo,” an intensive training program designed to accelerate the growth of promising young entrepreneurs. The initiative is part of the fourth edition of the “Youth, Idea” national caravan, a program overseen by the Management Projects Innovation (MPI) foundation to foster a culture of innovation across the country.

Fostering Innovation Through Intensive Training

The bootcamp will host 20 selected participants for a two-day immersive experience at Ooredoo’s t-Start incubator. These individuals are the minds behind the top 10 most innovative project ideas chosen from the national YouthIdea Challenge. The program features a series of interactive workshops and training sessions focused on critical startup skills, including business model design, pitch deck construction, and the art of delivering compelling presentations in an entrepreneurial environment.

The National Youth Idea Challenge

The bootcamp is a key component of the “Youth, Idea” caravan, which commenced its national tour from Algiers in April 2024. The caravan traveled through several provinces with the primary goal of promoting entrepreneurship and making its core concepts accessible to young people. The tour included numerous pitch sessions that connected aspiring founders with experts, investors, and established entrepreneurs from Algeria and beyond, aiming to help transform innovative ideas into viable businesses. The four winning projects from the challenge are scheduled to be announced this coming December.

A Legacy of Supporting Startups

This initiative underscores Ooredoo’s long-standing commitment to nurturing Algeria’s startup ecosystem. As a leading economic player, the company has consistently supported entrepreneurship through various programs, most notably its “t-Start” incubator. Launched in 2013, t-Start has successfully supported 40 startups, with 20 of them incubated directly at Ooredoo’s headquarters. The program has also contributed to training over 7,000 young individuals across different regions of the country, solidifying Ooredoo’s role as a key enabler of local innovation.
