Amideast, in collaboration with Boeing, has launched its first STEM Hackathon designed for students aged 11–15. This dynamic competition challenges young minds to design technology and robotics-based solutions for real-world problems aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants will receive expert mentorship and training to transform their creative ideas into impactful projects.

Competition Overview
The STEM Hackathon serves as an inspiring platform for young innovators to showcase their critical thinking and technical skills. Selected teams will undergo a rigorous 12-hour mentorship phase where they will refine their project ideas under the guidance of STEM professionals. The competition emphasizes the “innovation journey,” evaluating teams not just on their final product, but on their problem-solving approach, collaboration, and ability to pitch their solutions confidently. Projects must utilize technology or robotics to address specific SDGs, including clean water, affordable energy, and sustainable cities.

Eligibility Criteria
- Team Structure: Teams must consist of 2–3 members, aged 11–15. Teams can be formed by friends or schoolmates.
- Project Focus: Ideas must address an existing problem related to SDGs 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, or 14.
- Technical Background: Members should have minor prior experience in STEM (courses or previous competitions).
- Requirements: Teams must be able to provide their own laptops for the competition and participate in all program phases.

- March 2026: Shortlisted team interviews.
- March 29 – April 2, 2026: 12 hours of project refinement and pitching training.
- April 15 – 21, 2026: 8 hours of independent project implementation.
