Oman Arab Bank has officially launched its new SME growth initiative, Tumouhi 2026, marking a significant milestone in the bank’s commitment to empowering small and medium enterprises across the Sultanate.
A National Platform Beyond Banking
The Tumouhi initiative is positioned as a national growth platform that extends beyond conventional banking support. Senior bank officials explained that the program offers SMEs a structured development journey focused on capability building, sustainability, and creating long-term impact, reinforcing the bank’s role as a strategic partner in national economic development.
The launch event brought together key stakeholders from across the business and institutional ecosystem, underscoring the collaborative nature of the initiative.
A Structured Journey for Sustainable Growth
The programme will be rolled out in multiple phases throughout 2026, starting with a nationwide application and selection campaign to ensure a diverse cohort of SMEs from various geographic regions and sectors.
Selected businesses will embark on a structured journey that includes training, mentorship, and incubation. This curriculum will cover key business areas such as finance, business development, marketing, and governance, a design intended to address real operational challenges and support sustainable growth. The initiative will conclude with a graduation and awards phase later in the year.
Aligning With Oman Vision 2040
The initiative is strategically aligned with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040. By integrating financial solutions with non-financial support, the program aims to strengthen SME resilience, enhance competitiveness, and contribute meaningfully to the growth of the private sector.
Oman Arab Bank also plans to emphasize visibility and impact storytelling throughout the program. Through ongoing media engagement and progress updates, the bank will highlight the tangible outcomes and the journeys of participating businesses.
