Emirati entrepreneur Khalifa Awad Al Mheiri has launched Bader, a first-of-its-kind community initiative designed to provide comprehensive, step-by-step support for entrepreneurs in the UAE and the Arab world. Launched in conjunction with the national “UAE, Capital of Entrepreneurs in the World” campaign, the initiative aims to guide founders from the initial idea phase through to market launch and expansion.
A Comprehensive Support System
Bader offers a robust framework to empower aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs. The initiative provides 100 free one-on-one consultations and 1,000 free subscriptions to an integrated video training program. This 13-episode program is tailored to simplify the complexities of establishing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), offering reliable and practical content with an Emirati and Arab context. The core objective is to help participants avoid common early-stage pitfalls, foster an entrepreneurial spirit, and equip them with the practical skills needed at every stage of their journey.
Fostering a New Generation of Entrepreneurs
The initiative targets a wide audience, including university students, recent graduates, novice entrepreneurs, and existing small business owners seeking to restructure or scale their operations. Al Mheiri emphasized that the mission extends beyond just providing information. “The goal is not just to provide information, but to change the way young people think about self-employment, and to make them realize that entrepreneurship is not an uncalculated adventure, but an organized path that anyone can take with realistic, scientific steps,” he stated.
Gaining Momentum and Expanding Reach
Since its launch, the Bader initiative has seen significant demand. All 100 free consultation slots have been filled, and nearly 600 individuals have enrolled in the free training program. To broaden its impact, the initiative is currently in discussions with over 40 federal, local, and private entities to offer its training and consultations to their employees. These knowledge partnerships are designed to maximize the initiative’s reach among both citizens and residents as a social contribution to the UAE’s entrepreneurial drive. Al Mheiri stressed that Bader is a non-profit endeavor focused on contributing to national efforts that empower youth and strengthen the national economy.
