The Bahraini Businesswomen’s Society (BBS) recently hosted its annual Ramadan Ghabga, bringing together its members with ambassadors and diplomatic figures in the Kingdom. The event served as a key networking platform to foster collaboration and celebrate significant achievements within Bahrain’s female entrepreneurial community.
Fostering Connections and Collaboration
In her remarks, Vicki Mouawad, Second Vice-President of the Society and Head of the Social Committee, emphasized the event’s strategic goal of enhancing communication among BBS members and expanding their professional networks.
She highlighted that such gatherings are crucial for exchanging expertise and opening new avenues for cooperation.
Mouawad also reiterated the society’s ongoing commitment to launching initiatives that bolster the business environment and advance the economic empowerment of women, aligning with the nation’s future aspirations.
Celebrating Global Entrepreneurial Excellence
A major highlight of the evening was the announcement that two BBS members, Vicki Mouawad and Dima Al-Haddad, were named winners of the prestigious International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge (IWEC) Award for 2026.
This significant international recognition underscores the exceptional level of excellence and leadership demonstrated by Bahraini businesswomen on the global stage, showcasing the growing influence and success of female entrepreneurs from the Kingdom.
Reaffirming National Vision
The society also took the opportunity to extend its congratulations to the Bahraini leadership, including His Majesty the King, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women.
Tributes were paid to Sheikha Thajba bint Salman Al Khalifa, the Honorary President of the Society, for her continuous support of Bahraini women.
