A delegation of 15 Bahraini technology firms is making a significant impact at GITEX Global 2025, securing strategic partnerships and attracting global investor interest through the International Business Hub. Organized by the Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) in collaboration with WorkSmart Events Management, the hub features 7 small and medium enterprises and 8 startups from the Kingdom’s thriving information and communications technology (ICT) sector.
A Platform for Global Collaboration
The International Business Hub has quickly become a focal point for investors, business leaders, and government representatives from around the world. During the event’s initial days, the platform facilitated direct networking opportunities between international investors and Bahraini innovators, showcasing advanced digital products and solutions in artificial intelligence, smart infrastructure, and other cutting-edge fields. The high level of engagement underscores the growing global interest in Bahrain’s expanding tech ecosystem and its potential for cross-border collaboration.
Forging Strategic Partnerships
The Bahraini pavilion has already witnessed the signing of several key agreements, reflecting the tangible outcomes of the initiative. A notable Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Kanoo Consulting Services and Posidex Technologies, alongside other partnership deals between Bahraini startups and international investors. These collaborations highlight the hub’s effectiveness in providing entrepreneurs with valuable opportunities to expand their reach and establish global connections, transforming networking conversations into actionable business growth.
Strengthening Bahrain’s Tech Ecosystem
The initiative is a core component of a broader strategy to position Bahrain as a key regional center for innovation and digital entrepreneurship. Rashed Abdulla Alsnan, Chairman of BTECH, emphasized that the hub serves as a strategic platform uniting ideas, talent, and opportunities to promote partnerships driven by sustainable development. Echoing this sentiment, Ahmed Al Hujairy, CEO of WorkSmart, noted that the success at GITEX is a direct reflection of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, which aims to empower local startups to access and scale within global markets.
