Digital auctioning in the Gulf continues to mature as buyers flock to online platforms for high-value alternative assets. In its latest push to digitize the asset bidding process, Bahrain-based digital marketplace Mazad has announced a live virtual auction featuring a premium collection of license plates, headlined by the highly coveted ’69 series’ for private cars.

Expanding Asset Categories for Automotive Enthusiasts
The newly announced auction targets collectors and automotive enthusiasts across the region. The star attraction is the premium 69 series, which features highly sought-after number configurations such as 699999, 699996, and 696969.
Beyond private passenger vehicles, the platform is expanding its inventory to cater to niche commercial and recreational segments. The auction features distinctive plates for private trucks and buses starting with the number 11, including 110000 and 111111.
Motorcycle owners can also participate, with premium 44 series plates up for grabs, including numbers like 44444 and 44000.
Merging Digital Readiness with Collectible Demand
Bidding is actively underway on the Mazad mobile application, culminating in a virtual closing event. The final bidding war will be broadcast live across the company’s social media channels on Tuesday, March 31, allowing participants to follow the action in real time.
Nezar Habib, CEO of Mazad, emphasized that the event highlights the platform’s focus on tech-enabled asset liquidation and alternative investment opportunities within the Kingdom.
