The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) has announced a strategic partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization’s (UNIDO) Investment and Technology Promotion Office in Bahrain. The collaboration, aimed at bolstering entrepreneurship and sustainable development, was solidified in a meeting between Engineer Ibrahim Dalhan Al-Dossari, Acting Secretary-General of the RHF, and Dr. Hashim Hussein, Head of the UNIDO office.

A Strategic Alliance for Sustainable Development

The meeting emphasized the importance of integrating the efforts of national institutions and international organizations to advance Bahrain’s humanitarian and development goals. Discussions centered on creating joint initiatives to empower communities affected by conflict, foster sustainable development, and drive economic and social recovery.

This alliance aligns with Bahrain’s national vision to support impactful programs that deliver tangible benefits on both a local and global scale, reflecting a commitment to comprehensive and inclusive growth.

Empowering Home-Based Businesses

A key focus of the partnership is the “Nتاج خير البحرين” (Produce of Bahrain’s Goodness) program, which is designed to support productive families and home-based entrepreneurs. This initiative provides a framework for economic empowerment, capacity building, and enhancing production opportunities to improve livelihoods and promote family stability.

By targeting micro-enterprises at the household level, the RHF and UNIDO aim to strengthen the foundational pillars of Bahrain’s community and economic development.

Global Stage at WEIF 2026

A major outcome of the agreement is the plan to organize a dedicated exhibition for these home-based businesses during the 6th World Entrepreneurs Investment Forum (WEIF 2026). The high-profile forum is scheduled to take place in Bahrain on February 10-11, 2026, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

This platform will provide local entrepreneurs with a significant opportunity to showcase and market their products to an international audience, opening new avenues for growth, visibility, and long-term sustainability.
