The award is designed to showcase their success stories and highlight their distinguished projects in the field of entrepreneurship.

Program Overview and Mission

The Imtiaz initiative aims to honor young Bahraini women who have excelled in their respective fields of entrepreneurship. Its core mission is to highlight their success stories, encourage more women to enter the world of freelance work, and reinforce entrepreneurship as a key option for Bahraini women to contribute to the national economy. The award has grown significantly from 11 participants in its first cycle to 98 in its fourth.

Who Should Apply?

The initiative is looking for established female entrepreneurs who meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a Bahraini national.
  • Must be no older than 45 years of age.
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in the field of entrepreneurship.
  • Must have an official license for the business in her name (or with at least 50% ownership).
  • The participating project must be based on the sale of goods or the provision of services.
  • A financial report for the business must be submitted.
