This initiative marks the first phase of the Zain Great Idea (ZGI) program, which has officially launched in Bahrain to accelerate the growth of local startups and facilitate their entry into new markets.

A Deep Dive Into Startup Funding
The initiative commenced with its first session on September 25, 2025, in partnership with the Technology Committee of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Titled “Tech Startups,” the discussion focused on the diverse funding options available to early-stage tech companies and SMEs, ranging from grants and venture capital to supportive government programs. The panel also addressed the common challenges founders face when seeking investment and shared best practices for successfully securing capital.
Upcoming Sessions On Expansion And Founder Insights
Zain Bahrain and the Bahrain Chamber are set to host two additional sessions as part of the series, both scheduled from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Zain Tower.
- September 29, 2025: A session dedicated to helping startups understand the requirements and strategies for expanding into Gulf markets.
- October 2, 2025: A panel featuring successful Bahraini founders who will share their experiences and best practices for building scalable tech projects.
