Egypt’s Bank NXT has announced a major upgrade to its digital banking infrastructure, deploying a suite of IBM software solutions in collaboration with IT consultancy Inspire for Solutions Development. The initiative aims to modernize the bank’s operations and enhance its digital service delivery for customers across the country.
The comprehensive deployment includes IBM Instana, IBM Turbonomic, and IBM Cloud Pak solutions, all running on the Red Hat OpenShift platform. This technological overhaul is designed to provide real-time observability across the bank’s digital platforms, automate the optimization of IT resources, and foster more integrated and efficient operations, ultimately reducing operational costs and improving resource utilization.
A Strategic Push for Modernization
The partnership represents a significant step for Bank NXT in its mission to deliver a superior digital banking experience. The upgrade is focused on strengthening the core reliability and efficiency of its digital services.
Tamer Seif, CEO and Managing Director of Bank NXT, stated that the upgrade strengthens the reliability of the bank’s digital platform, improves operational efficiency, and accelerates service delivery. He added that it “expands the range of digital solutions available to customers, resulting in a faster and more responsive banking experience.”
Deploying A Suite of Advanced IBM Solutions
At the heart of the transformation is a set of specialized IBM tools. IBM Instana will provide real-time monitoring and analysis, enabling the bank’s technical teams to proactively detect and resolve issues before they impact customers.
Meanwhile, IBM Turbonomic will focus on automating resource allocation within the bank’s hybrid cloud environment, ensuring IT assets are optimized for consistent service performance. To further streamline workflows, Bank NXT has also integrated IBM Cloud Pak for Integration and IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation to simplify the development and deployment of new services while enhancing internal process efficiency.

Building Local Expertise
Beyond the technology implementation, the project includes robust staff training programs covering automation, integration, observability, and DevOps practices.
Partnering consultancy Inspire for Solutions Development was instrumental in building the bank’s new digital foundation. The firm delivered the core observability, optimization, integration, and automation frameworks and ensured a comprehensive knowledge transfer, empowering Bank NXT’s internal teams to independently manage and evolve the digital ecosystem moving forward.
