The 11th edition of Saudi Arabia’s premier entrepreneurship event, Biban Forum 2025, has concluded in Riyadh, generating over USD 10 billion (SAR 38B) in financing agreements and initiatives. Organized by The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at), the four-day forum operated under the theme “A Global Destination for Opportunities,” reinforcing the Kingdom’s commitment to its burgeoning startup and SME sector.
A Landmark Event for the Kingdom’s Entrepreneurs
Across four days, the forum facilitated 58 strategic agreements and launched multiple funding initiatives designed to support startups and accelerate the growth of innovative businesses. The event underscored its position as a vital platform for connecting entrepreneurs with investors, decision-makers, and key enabling entities within the Saudi ecosystem.
The forum’s impact extends beyond capital, aiming to build a robust and competitive national economy driven by small and medium enterprises.
Breaking Down the $10 Billion in Deals
The significant financial commitments were unveiled progressively throughout the event. The first day alone saw the launch of initiatives worth approximately USD 6 billion (SAR 22.3B) through 21 agreements and memoranda of understanding.
Subsequent days continued the momentum, with the third day seeing launches worth around USD 2 billion (SAR 7.6B) for financing entrepreneurial projects. The final day culminated in cooperation agreements valued at nearly USD 2.1 billion (SAR 8.1B), with Monsha’at signing three major financing agreements with leading finance companies to provide flexible funding solutions for MSMEs.
Key financing portfolio agreements include:
- Lendo: USD 1.6 billion (SAR 6B)
- Tamweel Al-Oula: USD 320 million (SAR 1.2B)
- Taajeer Finance: USD 133 million (SAR 500M)
Fostering a Knowledge-Based Ecosystem
Beyond the financial agreements, Biban 2025 served as a hub for knowledge sharing and mentorship. The forum hosted over 200 local and international speakers who led discussions on critical topics such as artificial intelligence, sustainability, and innovative finance.
Attendees also had the opportunity to engage in more than 80 workshops, 2,150 consultations, and over 1,000 mentorship sessions, providing invaluable support and guidance for every stage of the entrepreneurial journey.
