The Business Development Center (BDC), a leading Jordanian non-profit, has successfully executed an intensive ten-day training program in the Tafila governorate. This initiative, part of the Economic Empowerment and Self-Employment Project, was conducted in partnership with Tafila Technical University with support from UNICEF, targeting a cohort of 22 aspiring young entrepreneurs.
A Dual-Focus On Entrepreneurship And Financial Management
The program was strategically structured to provide a comprehensive learning experience. The initial five days were dedicated to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and project management, equipping participants with the necessary skills to build and launch their ventures. The subsequent five days delved into the critical aspects of financial management, aiming to bolster the participants’ abilities to manage their projects efficiently and ensure long-term financial sustainability.
Fostering Practical Skills For Real-World Application
Led by specialized entrepreneurship trainers, the program emphasized hands-on learning through interactive activities and practical applications. This approach helped participants develop tangible skills in business planning and financial forecasting. According to feedback, the training significantly enhanced their knowledge base and provided them with practical tools to transform their innovative ideas into viable, productive projects.
A Commitment To National Economic Vision
Nayef Stetieh, founder of the BDC and former Minister of Labor, reiterated the center’s unwavering commitment to empowering youth across Jordan’s governorates. He highlighted that such targeted training programs and quality initiatives are designed to enhance the economic capabilities of young people and open new avenues for self-employment. Stetieh stressed that these efforts are in direct alignment with Jordan’s national Economic Modernization Vision.
