Careem Deepens Its Q-Commerce Footprint With Quik Launch In Al Ain

4 Min Read

Careem, the region’s leading “Everything App,” has officially expanded its popular quick-commerce grocery service, Careem Quik, to Al Ain. This strategic move extends its ultra-fast delivery network, promising residents groceries and household essentials delivered in as little as 15 minutes.

Ultra-Fast Delivery Arrives in The Garden City

Initially launching in the Al Tiwayya, Al Hili, and Al Jimi neighborhoods, the service allows Al Ain residents to order a wide array of products, including fresh produce, pantry staples, and household items, directly through the Careem super app. To incentivize adoption, Careem is offering a launch promotion of AED 25 off the first three Quik orders for new customers in the city.

A Push for Convenience

The expansion underscores Careem’s commitment to simplifying daily life for its users across the UAE. The Quik service is designed to address immediate needs, from last-minute grocery requirements to weekly stock-ups, all without leaving home.
Abdulla Mohamad, GM of Careem Abu Dhabi, commented, “Quik is all about making life easier for our customers – from last-minute grocery runs to stocking up for the week. We’re excited to bring this experience to Al Ain, giving residents access to quality products and ultra-fast delivery at the tap of a button.”

Hyperlocal Logistics and Farm-to-Door Sourcing

Careem Quik’s operational model is built on a network of its own quick-commerce stores, often referred to as dark stores, which are strategically placed to ensure rapid delivery times. Central to the service is a strong emphasis on freshness. Careem has established partnerships with leading UAE farms such as Bustanica, Silal, and Pure Harvest, ensuring that locally grown fruits and vegetables reach Quik stores within 24 hours of being harvested. A dedicated Quality Control team inspects each item for ripeness and quality before it is made available to customers.

Expanding the Digital Shelf and City Coverage

Beyond traditional groceries, the Quik service is set to expand its product range in Al Ain to include a curated selection of electronics. Customers will soon be able to order high-demand items like the latest iPhones, Samsung devices, Dyson appliances, and gaming consoles on demand.

Careem has also confirmed plans to open additional dark stores across Al Ain before the end of 2025, progressively expanding coverage and accessibility throughout the city. The service integrates with the Careem Plus subscription program, offering members free delivery on all grocery orders and other benefits across the platform.
