Careem Unifies Corporate Spending With New Multi-Service Platform

3 Min Read

Careem has launched a comprehensive corporate payments solution, becoming the first digital platform in the MENA region to centralise employee expenses across its multiple services. The expansion of its ‘Careem for Business’ offering allows companies to manage and pay for rides, food and grocery delivery, and logistics through a single, streamlined account.

Streamlining Corporate Expenses Beyond Rides

Previously limited to its ride-hailing service, which has already facilitated over one million corporate bookings, Careem for Business now integrates a wider range of daily operational needs. The platform allows employees to seamlessly switch to a “Business” payment mode at checkout for team lunches via Careem Food, office pantry restocks through Careem Quik, business supplies from Careem Shops, and critical deliveries using Careem Box.

This system eliminates the need for employees to file expense reports or seek reimbursements for company-approved purchases. Instead, they can directly use company-provided allowances for a variety of services, simplifying everyday work-related tasks.

A Centralized Dashboard for Financial Control

For finance and administrative teams, the platform provides a powerful dashboard offering complete visibility into employee spending. Businesses can onboard their teams, establish specific spending controls, and receive one consolidated monthly invoice, significantly reducing administrative overhead.

The system allows for granular control over budgets, enabling managers to set spending limits by department, time, or geographic location. This ensures tighter cost control and more effective tracking of corporate expenditures across the organisation. Companies in telecommunications, banking, and consulting have already been leveraging the platform for employee transportation.

The Vision for a Unified Platform

The expansion reflects Careem’s strategy to become an all-encompassing platform for both individual and corporate needs in the UAE.

Bassel Al Nahlaoui, Chief Business Officer at Careem, stated:
“With one account, businesses can streamline operations, keep tighter control over budgets, and make everyday tasks, whether it’s a ride to a meeting, ordering lunch, or managing office deliveries, much easier for their teams.”
