Core42, the sovereign cloud and AI company under Abu Dhabi’s G42, has announced the establishment of its European headquarters in Dublin, Ireland. The move, unveiled at the Investopia global investment platform event, signals a significant step in the company’s strategy to expand its high-performance AI infrastructure and services across the continent.
A Strategic Hub for European Operations
The new Dublin headquarters will function as the regional hub for customer delivery, engineering leadership, regulatory engagement, and ecosystem partnerships. This base is designed to strengthen Core42’s capacity to serve European governments and enterprises that require secure and powerful infrastructure to accelerate their AI adoption.
Registered as Core42 Technology Operations Limited, the company is slated to begin formal operations in Dublin in early 2026, with plans to grow its European teams throughout the year.
Fueling Europe’s AI Infrastructure
This announcement follows a series of major European initiatives by Core42. The company is already engaged in a national-scale AI infrastructure deployment in Grenoble, France, in partnership with DataOne and Oreus.
Additionally, Core42 is collaborating with Italy-based Domyn to construct what is poised to be Europe’s largest AI compute cluster, further cementing its role as a key player in developing the continent’s sovereign compute capabilities.
G42’s Broader European Ambitions
The choice of Dublin for Core42’s headquarters highlights a layered European expansion strategy by its parent company, G42. This move complements the establishment of G42 Europe & UK, a London-headquartered subsidiary launched in June to manage government and private sector deals for critical AI infrastructure.
Together, these entities suggest a multi-faceted approach to address the European and UK markets with distinct business models and operational focuses, catering to a diverse range of enterprise and sovereign needs.
About Core42
Core42 was formed in October 2023 through the merger of three G42 subsidiaries—G42 Cloud, Inception, and Injazat—to create an integrated AI and data services powerhouse. The company builds infrastructure and services for large-scale AI, focusing on sovereign cloud, advanced compute platforms, and hyperscale AI environments. Core42 partners with global tech leaders including Microsoft, NVIDIA, AMD, and Cerebras to support enterprises and governments through the entire AI adoption lifecycle.
