The UAE Cybersecurity Council has announced the launch of the second cohort of CyberE71, its flagship incubator program designed to accelerate entrepreneurship and innovation within the nation’s cybersecurity ecosystem. The initiative aims to nurture local talent and support promising startups in developing solutions to combat sophisticated and rapidly evolving cyber threats.
Building on Initial Success
The launch of the second cohort follows the significant success of the inaugural program, which was introduced at GISEC Global 2024. The new edition has generated considerable interest within the UAE’s entrepreneurial community, attracting over 200 applications from startups across the Emirates. This high demand underscores the program’s growing reputation and the urgent need for homegrown cybersecurity solutions.
Intensive Founder Development
Participants in the second cohort will undergo a rigorous training schedule featuring five intensive bootcamps and seven days of specialized workshops. The curriculum is designed to enhance their solutions and scale their market impact effectively. The workshops will focus on critical technical, commercial, and marketing aspects, empowering founders to refine their innovative solutions and improve their scalability.
Showcasing on a Global Stage
As part of the program, participating entrepreneurs will receive an exceptional opportunity to showcase their innovations at GITEX Global 2025. This provides a premier platform for startups to gain international exposure, connect with potential investors, and build strategic partnerships, continuing the program’s impactful presence at major global exhibitions hosted in the UAE.
Strategic National Importance
Dr. Mohamed Al-Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Cybersecurity Council, emphasized the program’s role in supporting the national innovation ecosystem. “The success of CyberE71 in attracting such a large number of startups reflects the UAE’s leading position as a global cybersecurity hub,” he stated. Dr. Al-Kuwaiti highlighted the vital role of youth in navigating the evolving cyber landscape and stressed the importance of collaborative efforts to build national capabilities against the increasing threats to the economy and national security. The program is a key component of the UAE’s commitment to developing the necessary infrastructure and talent to protect its digital assets and establish itself as a regional and global leader in cyberspace.
