The inaugural edition of the “Designed in Saudi with AI” (DISAI) program, a strategic initiative by Qualcomm Technologies and Aramco via its aramcoSAIL lab, has successfully concluded. Launched in partnership with the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority (RDIA), the program is dedicated to empowering Saudi startups specializing in Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), and advanced wireless technologies.
The program aims to accelerate technological innovation within the Kingdom, enabling local entrepreneurs to develop globally competitive products and advance the digital transformation objectives outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.
Meet the Inaugural Cohort
The first cohort featured six promising Saudi startups developing cutting-edge solutions across a range of critical sectors:
Agile Loop: Delivers integrated AI systems for managing IoT devices, simplifying their adoption for both individuals and enterprises.
Manyface: Develops a platform for task automation and intelligent conversational interfaces to enhance business productivity across various industries.
Mobisense: Creates innovative solutions that transcribe spoken conversations into classified and summarized text while ensuring data privacy.
Orbital Universe: Utilizes IoT and satellite data to monitor carbon sequestration in mangrove farms, contributing to environmental sustainability efforts.
PIxConvey: Engineers autonomous vehicles equipped with intelligent navigation systems to serve the transportation and logistics sectors.
ThakaaMed: Provides AI-driven diagnostic and therapeutic solutions designed to improve the quality of care within medical institutions.
About Designed in Saudi with AI (DISAI)
The “Designed in Saudi with AI” (DISAI) program is a collaborative effort between Qualcomm Technologies, Aramco, and the RDIA. Its core mission is to foster a vibrant deep tech ecosystem in Saudi Arabia by identifying and nurturing early-stage companies in AI, IoT, and wireless technologies. The program provides startups with mentorship, technical support, and resources to accelerate their product development and scale their businesses, aligning with the Kingdom’s national innovation priorities.
