DEWA Partners With HBMSU To Champion Female Leadership in UAE

In a significant move to bolster female participation in leadership roles, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has launched the fourth edition of its ‘For Her’ programme in collaboration with Hamdan bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU). The initiative underscores a dedicated effort within the UAE’s public sector to cultivate and advance the skills of its female workforce, aligning with the nation’s broader strategic goals for a diversified, knowledge-based economy.

Fostering Future-Ready Leaders

Under the theme ‘Women Create Tomorrow: A Vision that Transcends the Present’, the nine-month programme will engage 25 female DEWA employees in a comprehensive development journey. The curriculum, led by experts from HBMSU, includes a series of interactive workshops and training courses. Participants will delve into critical topics such as transformational leadership, effective communication, change management, emotional intelligence, and institutional innovation, equipping them with the necessary tools to navigate and lead in a rapidly evolving corporate landscape.

The initiative is a cornerstone of DEWA’s strategy to empower women and ensure they play a pivotal role in the UAE’s sustainable development.
