The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers operating under Dubai Chambers, hosted its first quarterly roundtable for Business Groups and Business Councils of 2026. The meeting, held at the chamber’s headquarters, served as a strategic platform to discuss Dubai’s economic landscape, highlight emerging opportunities across various sectors, and showcase the chamber’s ongoing initiatives to support the private sector.

A Review of 2025’s Advocacy Success

During the meeting, the chamber highlighted its significant achievements from the previous year in enhancing the local legislative and regulatory environment. In 2025, the chamber collaborated with Business Groups to review 54 laws and draft laws, with the private sector’s recommendations achieving a remarkable 60% adoption rate.

This high level of engagement was facilitated through 250 meetings with various Business Groups and Councils, including annual general meetings. Additionally, the chamber organized 15 critical meetings connecting these private sector bodies with key government entities to foster direct dialogue and collaboration.

Expanding International and Sectoral Representation

A key part of the chamber’s strategy in 2025 involved broadening its representative scope. Five new Business Councils were established to support the interests of investors from Bulgaria, Cyprus, Brazil, Slovakia, and Peru, strengthening Dubai’s international business ties.

Domestically, the chamber also launched the Dubai Delivery Business Group. This new entity provides a unified platform to represent and advance the interests of the growing number of delivery companies operating within the emirate, addressing sector-specific challenges and opportunities.

Driving Strategic Partnerships for a Thriving Economy

Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, underscored the importance of these collaborations. “As we navigate the evolving global economic landscape, our focus is on empowering the business community to drive sustainable growth and innovation. Business Groups and Councils are vital for forging strategic partnerships that will define Dubai’s future success.”

Al Gargawi added, “We are dedicated to providing the resources and advocacy needed for businesses to adapt to new challenges and thrive, further cementing Dubai’s leadership position on the world stage.”

The chamber affirmed that advancing the interests of the business community remains a top strategic priority, emphasizing its commitment to strengthening the private sector’s role in shaping legislation and boosting the overall competitiveness of Dubai’s economy.
