In a move to strengthen the UAE’s digital future, Ericsson and e& have launched the second cohort of Excelerate&, their joint professional development programme. The 12-month initiative is designed to advance Emirati talent in high-demand technology fields, including 5G, cloud computing, and AI-driven networks, directly supporting the UAE’s Centennial 2071 vision for a knowledge-based economy.

Building on Inaugural Success

First introduced in 2024, the Excelerate& programme blends structured technical training with dedicated mentorship, industry exposure, and hands-on learning opportunities. The inaugural cohort successfully completed the programme earlier this year, culminating in an immersive visit to Ericsson’s global headquarters in Sweden. During the visit, participants engaged with leading industry experts and explored emerging innovations poised to shape the future of global connectivity.

A Strategic Push for National Priorities

The initiative underscores a shared commitment to developing a highly skilled local workforce capable of leading the nation’s digital transformation.

Ali Al Mansoori, Group Chief People Officer at e&, stated that the programme equips Emirati professionals with practical, industry-ready skills in next-generation technologies, empowering them to contribute significantly to the country’s national digital priorities.

Petra Schirren, President of Ericsson Gulf, emphasized that the initiative is crucial for building the advanced network capabilities required for the scalable adoption of 5G and cloud technologies across the UAE’s telecom and enterprise sectors. The launch of the second cohort reinforces the long-standing partnership between the two industry giants, which has been instrumental in advancing the nation’s telecommunications infrastructure.
