The Beni Suef Governorate, in collaboration with its Directorate of Education and Technical Education and the Population Unit, has launched a large-scale training program focused on “Entrepreneurship and Financial Inclusion.” The initiative aims to upskill 1500 professionals within the education sector, marking a significant investment in human capital and grassroots economic development.

A Strategic Push For Human Development

This program is a key component of the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Building the Human Being,” overseen by Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, the Governor of Beni Suef. The initiative reflects a strategic government push to empower citizens with the skills needed for the modern economy, directly contributing to national development goals. Amal El-Hawary, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, emphasized that the program is designed to support and empower youth by providing them with the tools to innovate and create economic opportunities.

Program Scope And Target Audience

The training targets 1500 individuals, including teachers, administrators, and members of boards of trustees, from five educational centers across the governorate: Wasit, Nasser, Beni Suef, Biba, and Fashn. By focusing on educators, the initiative aims to create a ripple effect, embedding an entrepreneurial mindset within the educational system itself. Ghadah Abdel Raouf, Director of the Training Department, confirmed that all necessary logistical arrangements, including suitable training halls and equipment, have been coordinated to facilitate the large-scale program.

Fostering Sustainable Growth Through Entrepreneurship

Officials highlighted the program’s role in addressing key economic challenges. By promoting entrepreneurship, the initiative seeks to foster innovative solutions, stimulate the growth of small projects for young people, and ultimately reduce unemployment rates. This aligns directly with the sustainable development goals outlined in Egypt’s Vision 2030, which prioritizes a diversified, knowledge-based economy. During the launch, an open dialogue was held with trainees to discuss the program’s core components and objectives.

Public-Private Collaboration

The program’s execution relies on a robust partnership between several key entities. Mohamed Al-Behairi, Director of the Population Unit, noted that the initiative is a collaboration with Banque Misr, the Sanad Al-Khair Foundation (a member of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work), and the Central Population Unit of the Ministry of Local Development. This multi-stakeholder approach combines governmental oversight with the financial expertise and community reach of its partners to maximize impact.
