Al-Riyadah University in Egypt has announced the opening of early admissions for its 2026/2027 academic year, a strategic move to accommodate growing student demand and introduce a suite of new specializations tailored to the modern job market. The decision reflects the university’s focus on developing graduates equipped for roles in high-growth sectors like artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and cybersecurity.

A Strategic Push for Future-Ready Graduates

Dr. Reda Hegazy, President of Al-Riyadah University and former Minister of Education, stated that the early admission launch is part of a broader vision to build an educational system that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical application. He emphasized the university’s commitment to continuously updating its academic offerings to match the fast-paced changes in the labor market.

“The university aims to produce a graduate who possesses the professional skills and analytical abilities to compete locally and internationally,” Hegazy noted. He also highlighted that expanding international partnerships for training and academic exchange is a key part of the university’s strategy, alongside integrating scientific research into the educational process to encourage student involvement in real-world projects.

Specialized Programs for a Tech-Driven Market

To meet the specific needs of Egypt’s growing tech and business ecosystem, the university has introduced several new programs. The Faculty of Engineering now offers specializations in Robotics and Automation, Automotive Mechatronics, and Renewable and Sustainable Energy.

The Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence is rolling out programs in Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Medical Informatics. Meanwhile, the Faculty of Business Administration is offering diverse majors including Business Information Systems (BIS), Accounting, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Marketing.

Additionally, the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology is providing specialized programs such as Medical Laboratory Technology, Biomedical Device Technology, and Nutrition and Food Safety Technology.

Investing in Infrastructure and Research

University leadership confirmed that significant preparations have been made to support the new intake. Dr. Mohamed El Sherbiny, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, confirmed that classrooms and labs have been upgraded with the latest technology to enhance the learning experience.

Dr. Ihab Saeed, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, added that the university is heavily investing in its scientific research and innovation ecosystem. “We are working to expand postgraduate programs and link them to community needs, which contributes to producing applied research with direct impact,” Saeed explained. He also noted a drive to increase collaboration with industrial and research institutions to support a knowledge-based economy.
