Egypt’s Edtech eYouth Enters Iraq With First Arabic Workforce Skills Platform

4 Min Read

Egyptian-founded edtech leader eYouth has announced its expansion into the Iraqi market, launching the country’s first Arabic-language digital learning platform dedicated to developing skills aligned with current labour market demands. The move marks a significant step in addressing workforce readiness in Iraq and is facilitated through a strategic partnership with the Al-Majal Group, a prominent Iraqi private sector conglomerate.

A Strategic Partnership For Iraqi Talent

The collaboration between eYouth and Al-Majal Group combines deep regional expertise in digital learning with an intricate understanding of the Iraqi market. While eYouth brings its proven track record in delivering customised learning solutions to over four million learners across 21 countries, Al-Majal Group will provide its extensive network and local market insights to drive the initiative’s success.

eYouth Iraq plans to work closely with government entities, public institutions, and private-sector employers. This multi-stakeholder approach aims to ensure that all training programmes are directly aligned with national development priorities and the real-world needs of the Iraqi economy.

Bridging The Skills Gap With Localised Content

The new platform will deliver Arabic-first educational content designed to meet international quality standards. The curriculum will focus on high-demand skills across priority economic sectors, targeting Iraqi youth, fresh graduates, and experienced professionals seeking to upskill.

Beyond purely technical training, the programmes will emphasize employability, practical application, and direct alignment with employer demand, aiming to create a more competitive and agile workforce. The platform is expected to launch in phases throughout 2026, gradually expanding its offerings across various sectors and regions within Iraq.

A Vision For Sustainable Economic Growth

Leaders from both organisations highlighted the partnership’s potential to foster long-term economic development in the country by investing in its human capital.

“Establishing eYouth Iraq is a strategic step toward building a sustainable talent development ecosystem in the country,” stated Engineer Mustafa Abd Ellatif, Co-Founder and CEO of eYouth. “Our goal is to work hand in hand with government institutions and private-sector partners to ensure that education is directly connected to real labour market needs. This platform will empower Iraqi youth with practical, future-ready skills and open new pathways to meaningful employment and active economic participation.”

Ali Agha Jaffar, Chairman and CEO of Al-Majal Group, added, “Developing human capital is a cornerstone of Iraq’s long-term growth and economic resilience. This partnership with eYouth reflects our commitment to supporting Iraqi youth through accessible, high-quality education that responds to the real needs of employers. By collaborating with both public and private stakeholders, we aim to create sustainable value for individuals, businesses, and the national economy.”
