EGBANK has celebrated the graduation of 17 startups from the fourteenth cohort of its MINT business incubator program, one of Egypt’s most prominent initiatives supporting entrepreneurship. The graduation marks the culmination of an intensive training program designed to prepare the companies for market entry and investment.
A Diverse Cohort Enters The Market
The graduating cohort represents a wide array of sectors and includes Machinat, Youverse, Cortex, Meyahh, Board Pins, Mafrooz, Gelati, Curlit, Nanovate, BNFT, Mira Light, Hiryo, Mindlytx, Vemvl, Vitrine, Cultivech, and Mallim. Over a period of three months, these startups underwent rigorous training covering strategic guidance, budgeting, marketing, legal aspects, and human resource management, all aimed at positioning them to attract investment opportunities.
MINT’s Sustained Impact On Egypt’s Ecosystem
According to Nelly Mahmoud, Head of Marketing, Youth Services, and Financial Inclusion at EGBANK, the MINT program has had a significant impact over its eight-year history. It has successfully graduated 157 startups across 35 different sectors, with a notable 32 companies operating in the FinTech space. Highlighting the program’s success, Mahmoud noted that 42 of the graduated startups have collectively raised over $18 million in investments. Furthermore, the program’s alumni have created more than 13,000 direct and indirect jobs, and 25 of the companies have successfully expanded their operations regionally into Gulf and Middle Eastern markets.
