Egyptian fintech startup Flash has received official approval from the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), granting it a license to facilitate and coordinate electronic payment services. This regulatory milestone is a significant step for the company as it prepares to expand its digital payment solutions and support the growth of electronic transactions across the MENA region.
Central Bank Approval Unlocks Growth
The license from the CBE authorizes Flash to operate as a facilitator for electronic payment services and card-based transactions. This development aligns with Egypt’s broader strategy to implement more secure and fully integrated digital payment solutions. With this key approval secured, Flash is setting its sights on expanding its network across the Middle East and Africa in the near future.
Seamless Payments For Customers And Merchants
According to statements made by Co-Founder Sherine Kabesh at the Cairo ICT “PAFIX” event, the application is built to streamline the payment process for all users.
“The application enables the seamless delivery of electronic payment services for customers and merchants, providing an advanced and integrated system that supports card payments and QR Code technology,” Kabesh explained.
This functionality allows users to easily pay restaurant bills and interact securely with delivery and logistics companies such as Bosta and Milez.
Forging Strategic Partnerships
Kabesh added that Flash is focused on strengthening its ecosystem through key collaborations. The company is actively partnering with major platforms and merchants, including Foodics, ACT Integrations, and Robooost, to deliver solutions capable of handling large transaction volumes with a smooth user experience.
Flash has also established collaborations with several leading Egyptian banks, most notably Banque Misr and the National Bank of Egypt, to enhance its service offerings.

In addition to its core services, Kabesh noted that Flash offers tailored products designed to support women and female entrepreneurs. This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to fostering financial inclusion as it grows.
