In a strategic move to foster economic empowerment and decentralize entrepreneurial development, the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports, through its Central Administration for Youth Development, has partnered with the Youth Entity for Pioneers of Border Governorates to launch an entrepreneurship and financial inclusion training program in Matrouh.

Fostering Local Talent Beyond Major Hubs

The three-day workshop, held at the Matrouh Public Library, was designed to equip young people in the region with the foundational knowledge of starting a business and the principles of financial inclusion. The initiative aims to cultivate a new generation of entrepreneurs outside of Egypt’s traditional economic centers, aligning with the national “Youth Partners in Decision-Making” strategy.

A Public-Private Collaboration

This initiative highlights a collaborative effort between governmental bodies and the financial sector. The training was executed by Dr. Doaa Antar, Executive Director of the Youth Entity, with on-the-ground coordination from local officials. The National Bank of Egypt played a crucial role, with Aya Amr El-Sayed from the bank’s Matrouh branch leading the training sessions, providing participants with practical insights from the financial industry.
