MINT by EGBANK, the influential incubator program of the Egyptian Gulf Bank, has announced the graduation of its 14th cohort, marking a significant milestone in its eight-year journey of fostering entrepreneurship in Egypt. Over this period, the program has successfully graduated 157 startups across more than 35 sectors, leading to the creation of over 13,000 direct and indirect jobs.
The announcement was made by Nelly Mahmoud, Head of Marketing, Youth Services, and Financial Inclusion at EGBANK, who highlighted the program’s substantial and lasting impact on the local and regional startup ecosystem.
A Track Record of Funding and Regional Expansion
The success of the MINT by EGBANK program is clearly reflected in the performance of its alumni. To date, 42 of its graduate companies have successfully attracted over $18 million in funding from investors. Furthermore, the incubator has proven to be a powerful launchpad for regional growth, with 25 of its startups having expanded their operations into the Gulf and the wider Middle East.
The program has shown a particular focus on nurturing the financial technology sector, having collaborated with 32 FinTech startups, contributing significantly to the innovation within Egypt’s financial landscape.
Welcoming The 14th Cohort
The latest cohort comprises 17 promising startups: Machinat, Youverse, Cortex, Meyahh, Board Pins, Mafrooz, Gelati, Curlit, Nanovate, BNFT, Mira Light, Hiryo, Mindlytx, Vemvl, Vitrine, Cultivech, and Mallim. Their graduation follows an intensive three-month training and mentorship program that covered crucial business fundamentals including strategic planning, budgeting, marketing, legal frameworks, and human resources, preparing them to attract investment and scale their operations.
