3 Min Read

The Cybersecurity Prosecution at Egypt’s National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has partnered with Cairo University’s FEPS Business Incubator to launch the 12th incubation cycle of the Cybersecurity Pioneers program. The initiative is designed to back Egyptian university students and graduates building specialized cybersecurity ventures, with the application window remaining open until April 10.

Quick Facts

  • Target: Egyptian students and graduates in cybersecurity.

  • Deadline: Applications officially close on April 10.

  • Focus: Technical training, IP protection, and startup incorporation.

Bridging Technical Expertise and Entrepreneurial Execution

The 12th cycle of the program delivers intensive technical training across a spectrum of critical security domains. Participants will receive specialized instruction in areas such as secure digital transformation, fintech and emerging tech protection, and data classification.

The curriculum also covers building robust cyber defenses, cybersecurity governance, child online protection, and secure design principles. Furthermore, the technical track addresses complex vulnerabilities by focusing on securing supply chains, industrial control systems (ICS), and 5G applications.

Recognizing the growing overlap between data science and threat mitigation, the program includes a dedicated module on securing artificial intelligence models and utilizing AI tools within cybersecurity frameworks.

Tangible Support for Early-Stage Cyber Founders

Beyond technical upskilling, the Cybersecurity Pioneers program provides structural support to help technical founders transition into commercial operators. Participants undergo specialized entrepreneurship training paired with professional mentorship, enabling them to translate conceptual ideas into viable startup models.

All completing trainees receive an accredited certificate, while the winning teams unlock an integrated support package to launch their businesses. This prize includes full coverage for patent registration and intellectual property protection, alongside direct assistance with company incorporation and registration procedures.

Winning cohorts are also provided with essential legal consultations and secure a spot to pitch their startups at the incubator’s official demo day.
