Egypt’s Oasys Health Raises $4.6 Million To Scale AI Mental Health Platform

4 Min Read

Oasys Health, an AI-native mental health operating system founded by Egyptian entrepreneur Hashem Abdou, has raised $4.6 million in total funding to transform how clinicians deliver care. The financing includes a $4 million Seed round led by Pathlight Ventures, with participation from Twine Ventures and Better Ventures, alongside a previously raised $600,000 Pre-Seed round from 1984 Ventures. This fresh capital will fuel the New York-based startup’s mission to modernize mental health infrastructure by replacing fragmented legacy systems with a unified, data-driven platform.

Redefining Mental Health With AI and Data

Founded in 2024, Oasys Health is tackling the administrative burden that plagues the mental health sector. The platform leverages artificial intelligence to automate essential operational workflows such as documentation, scribing, billing, scheduling, and insurance reimbursements. By handling these time-consuming tasks, Oasys aims to free up clinicians to focus more on patient care.

Beyond administrative automation, Oasys distinguishes itself by bridging the gap between behavioral health and physical physiology. The platform integrates securely with wearable devices and health apps—including Apple Watch, Oura Ring, Strava, and Flo—to track real-time biomarkers like heart rate, sleep patterns, activity levels, and glucose. This connectivity allows therapists to move beyond subjective weekly check-ins and instead utilize objective data to personalize treatment plans and monitor patient well-being continuously.

Strategic Growth and Expansion Plans

The newly secured capital will be directed toward expanding the company’s engineering and data science teams to further enhance the platform’s AI capabilities. Oasys plans to deepen its integrations with wearables and health applications, ensuring a seamless flow of data for clinical use.

On the commercial front, the startup is aggressively expanding its network of partnerships. This includes collaborations with private clinics, behavioral health centers, and Managed Service Organizations (MSOs). Additionally, Oasys is targeting educational institutions, aiming to partner with universities and schools to build long-term, scalable mental health infrastructure for students on campus.

Setting New Standards for Clinical Outcomes

A core focus for Oasys in the coming year is the development of a robust outcomes measurement framework. Planned for launch in 2026, this initiative will provide clinicians with standardized metrics to track patient progress and validate the effectiveness of therapy over time. This move aligns with the company’s broader vision to shift mental health care from a reactive model to a proactive, evidence-based discipline. The company has set an ambitious goal to expand its partner network to over 1,000 enterprise-scale mental health organizations in the near future.
