Cairo-based Raedbots has officially launched, positioning itself as the first company in Egypt and the Middle East to design and manufacture industrial robots locally. The startup aims to address the region’s growing demand for automation by offering advanced robotic solutions that are more cost-effective and better suited to local industrial needs than imported systems.
Quick Facts
- Egypt’s first local industrial robotics firm.
- Solutions up to 50% cheaper than imports.
- Member of the global NVIDIA Inception program.
- Supported by Egypt’s tech incubator TIEC.
Building In-House to Reduce Automation Costs
Raedbots is developing its entire technology stack internally at its Cairo labs, from mechanical design and electronics to control systems and AI-powered software. This approach allows the company to sidestep the high costs associated with imported or white-labeled robotic systems.
According to Hamza El-Sahiti, the company’s Chief Operating Officer, this model enables Raedbots to deliver solutions that can save clients up to 50% in costs. He added that the systems are specifically optimized for regional manufacturing environments and operational requirements.
Mohamed Ibrahim, Chief Technology Officer, explained that the company provides integrated solutions beyond just hardware. “We are providing integrated robotic solutions that help facilities and factories optimize productivity, reduce costs, and enhance safety standards,” Ibrahim stated. He also noted that locally designed robotic arms significantly lower the initial investment, allowing manufacturers to adopt automation more quickly.
AI-Powered Robotics for Regional Industries
Raedbots is building a new generation of smart industrial robots designed for a range of applications, including welding, CNC machine tending, material handling, packaging, and warehouse automation. By combining its own hardware with custom AI algorithms, the company aims to provide industrial clients with higher precision, improved efficiency, and reduced operational downtime.
The company’s product roadmap includes multi-purpose robotic platforms, collaborative robots (cobots), and high-speed industrial automation systems. These will be complemented by integrated software designed to simplify technology adoption for manufacturers of all sizes.
Backed by NVIDIA and Egypt’s Tech Ecosystem
Highlighting its technical capabilities, Raedbots has been accepted into the NVIDIA Inception program, becoming one of the first Physical AI and robotics startups in the Middle East to join the global initiative. The collaboration gives Raedbots access to NVIDIA’s simulation and AI technologies to accelerate its development cycles and deploy intelligent automation systems.
The startup is also part of the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC) program, an initiative under Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. This support reinforces Raedbots’ mission to build a regional robotics industry with technology designed and made in Egypt.
