In a significant move to bolster the local startup ecosystem, Egyptian SaaS company Taskedin has announced a major initiative coinciding with the Techne Summit. The company is offering 1,000 Egyptian entrepreneurs attending the summit a full year of free access to its specialized task management and organization application for their startups, provided they have a team of 10 or fewer employees.

A Strategic Boost for Egypt’s Startup Scene

This initiative underscores Taskedin’s commitment to empowering early-stage companies by equipping them with the tools needed for efficient and organized operations, ultimately fueling innovation within Egypt’s entrepreneurial landscape.
Dr. Islam Nasrallah, a prominent investor in the company, commented on the announcement, stating, “The launch of this initiative by Taskedin reflects our deep commitment to supporting the entrepreneurial environment in Egypt. We believe that startups are a primary engine of economic growth, and enabling them with advanced digital tools like Taskedin enhances their operational efficiency and accelerates their ability to scale.” He added that with Egypt experiencing a boom in startups and investment, the timing is ideal for this kind of support.

Tapping Into a Growing Ecosystem

The initiative comes as Egypt’s startup ecosystem continues its remarkable growth trajectory. Recent reports indicate there are over 2,000 active startups in the country, with venture capital investment growing by more than 30% annually over the last five years. This sustained growth has solidified Egypt’s position as a leading entrepreneurial hub in the Middle East and Africa, with the ecosystem’s value projected to exceed $8 billion by 2025 and having already created over 50,000 jobs.

Redefining Productivity in MENA

Taskedin aims to shift the prevailing work culture from a focus on office hours to a productivity-driven, digital-first mindset. As the first digital workspace in the Middle East to offer full support for Arabic alongside English, the platform is uniquely positioned to serve local and regional companies. Developed as a patent under the Mega Trust group of companies, it provides management and employees with transparent performance indicators, including work hours, completed tasks, and monthly performance evaluations, to foster a culture of clarity and accountability.
