The Vodafone Egypt Foundation for Community Development, in partnership with the Momken platform, has launched the pilot phase of the Spark Bootcamp, an intensive program designed to support 40 entrepreneurs in the early stages of their tech-focused ventures. The three-day camp is taking place from September 28 to 30, 2025, at the Vodafone Egypt headquarters in Smart Village.
Empowering Early-Stage Tech Ventures
The Spark Bootcamp aims to cultivate digital skills, foster a culture of innovation, and integrate digital economy practices among entrepreneurs from various governorates. The program targets founders between the ages of 20 and 37 who have existing projects and are looking to scale. Participants will engage in daily workshops on digital skills and entrepreneurship, alongside mentorship and guidance sessions to refine their business models and future plans. The curriculum includes specialized training on AI-driven techniques in sales and marketing, as well as the fundamentals of digital marketing.
A Strategic Push for Egypt’s Digital Economy
The initiative reflects a broader strategy to bolster Egypt’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and align with the nation’s Vision 2030. The bootcamp’s first day was attended by prominent figures including Eng. Mohamed Henna, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Vodafone Egypt Foundation, and Eng. Mahmoud El-Khateib, Vice President of Business at Vodafone Egypt.
“This initiative is part of Vodafone Foundation’s strategy to expand learning opportunities, empower youth, and strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem,” said Eng. Mohamed Henna. He added that the top three participants will receive a sustainable training plan to further develop their projects, and the program’s content will later be integrated into the “Ta3limy” e-learning platform to maximize its impact.
Fostering Inclusive Innovation
The collaboration between Vodafone Egypt Foundation and Momken underscores a shared commitment to creating accessible learning opportunities. The program provides a platform for practical learning and knowledge exchange, helping founders build sustainable and impactful businesses.
“Momken is keen on creating educational spaces for youth, especially young women, to acquire advanced digital skills and adopt innovative solutions that enhance the success of their projects,” said Dr. Abeer Al-Leithi, Co-founder of the Momken platform. “This collaboration supports the digital economy and expands learning opportunities.”
